thanks to stupid drivers my maxima is gone. she'll be missed

Last tuesday while going home after work to celebrate my b-day, a lady driving a lexus cut 4 lanes on the highway to avoid missing the ramp.

Another lady driving a honda merged into my lane to avoid hitting her.

I tried braking and then moved onto the shoulder to avoid her, but it was useless.

CHP showed up and after talking to the lexus driver they determined she was DUI and arrested her.

I hurt my back a bit, but besides that everyone is fine.

here are some pictures of the accident...

I know my car is gone, and will be missed.

On wednesday I'm gonna go buy a new maxima, a black 03 SE 6spd with 88k on the clock. $8500....

the car i hit

the new maxima....i'll pick her up soon

It makes me feel good to see a Maxima on the same car lot as Maserati Quattroportes, Dodge Ram SRT-10s, and Mercedes G-500 wagons...lol. Sorry about the accident bro, at least you're okay; and get a nice new project out of it... +1

i noticed that, they have a lot of really nice cars.

and yeah i'm happy that i'm gonna get a 5.5 gen.
and that it's a 6spd.

I was about to do a 5spd swap on my 4th gen.
couldn't stand the auto haha, I didn't want to go through that again...

NOOO! Another 95-96 fog light gone from this Earth.

The damage on your car was immense! But the damage on the Civic didn't seem too bad. It looks like rear bumper got pushed in pretty hard but your car had a chunk of the bumper ripped off.

In the end you are okay and that is all that matters!

Kind of nice when idiot drivers get you an upgrade. Got hit by a drunk driver (.216 BAC) and my 4AT 5.5 gen was totaled. Replaced it with a lower mileage 6MT 5.5 gen with leather, Bose, climate control, good struts, no leaky valve covers and much less oil consumption for less than the payout on my other car.

The important thing is you didn't get hurt and you got a 6 speed 5.5 gen with limited slip.

Glad to see you got the 5.5 Gen you said you were looking at on 3ZC. They look great in black. Be sure to grab the 5th Gen SE tails, they look best on black.

The important thing is that you wern't seriously hurt in that accident and that beotch got caught with a DUI and is arrested.

Nice 'upgrade' to a 5.5 gen. I have one myself. However, my 5.5 is auto. hehe. Welcome to the 5th generation! (even though I currently drive a 7th gen.)

I hear you. Too many Cali drivers cannot drive. That freeway looks familiar, then I saw your location.

Anyways what type of Lexus is it? The one with the Camry Chassis (ES )?

I feel your pain! About 5 months after I got my Maxima my boyfriend backed straight into the side of it with his lifted Jeep Cherokee. And you guys say girls are bad drivers!

Glad you are ok. After we celebrate you being ok and get past that, did you remember to thank the other driver for helping you get your upgrade? You got 6-speed! But you had wanted but a 5-speed before. Great upgrade. So, remember to send her a thank you note. (Just kidding).

I remember almost buying the same car too! Six speed is often a great thing! Enjoy it.

As for you MaxineThe Maxima, welcome to the org. I will guess he took care of that for you.
