Eibach v.s. Tein H- Tech

I have a quick question,

Why does everyone prefer and run Eibach springs vs Tein H- Tech??

Doesnt Tein offer a better ride quality and arent they lower upfront?

^^^ I know about shiftice.com but that doesnt help me in why everyone is choosing Eibach over Tein even tho Eibach is a rougher ride

Its all on how you want your ride...softer or more stiffer, I like the Eibach's especially on hard turns handles pretty NICE....

The Eibachs do me fine on the daily grind that I do. I have enjoyed them since the day of their installation. But you have read my opinions of the Eibach's in your searching and questioning. I as well as one other guy are on 20 inch wheels and 35 series rubber. I have no bumpstops installed in the front struts or rear shocks. No problems or fear to dips, potholes, speedbumps, difference to the road edge and bridges.

I have only one experience with Teins and it was the first drive on the car with them installed. It was on my brothers car in one dip on my road I had to slow down to 10-15MPH or the bump was too harsh. As far as I know he is still slowing down that slow to pass. I can pass over it 1-55 MPH and I feel it the slightest bit. I sometimes forget whether I am driving my Mercedes Benz or my Maxima.

Btw, im going to be pairing the springs with KYB GR-2S and18, 7 spoke G35 wheels. Heres a noob question as well, what does spring rate mean? How much weight they can hold?

It is not how much weight it can hold. Its the amount of force in whatever unit (ex: lbs, kg) that the spring gives feedback as it is depressed per inch/mm/cm.

Any more suggestion? Should I run eibach or tein? Roads here are ok with minor bumps, nothing out of the ordinary. Plus I would be towing a jet ski from time to time.

Let me know what you guys suggest and why.

Need to pull the trigger on a suspension due to I have 3 blown struts

The 18" wheels are going to make a difference in your ride too. I love the look of 18" and 19" wheels, but the lousy PA roads made me go back to 17"s.

Well I have 18in g35 coupe rims with eibach pro kit and Tokico Illuminas shocks and strut. The ride is good if there is no bumps but when u hit one it's bad new news. But turning and highway driving is on point.

ive had eibach sportlines on my sentra. they were the stiffest ride ever and I loved having that gokart feel. I also remember slowing down for every bump in the road cuz it was so stiff, the whole interior would shake.

I have megans on now on my max. they ride smoother but still have to slow down for bumps. you would have this problem with any kind of drop with springs. not so much with coilovers but still.

H-Tech for me was pretty smooth and comfortable. According to ShiftIce, H-tech would offer a more even drop which was a selling point for me. Good even drop + ride quality = I would recommend it to others.

Blown struts. Replace them.
