gen 1 illumination issue

hey guys, so i have a 99 i30t and ive noticed a few things, perhaps some insight from someone more comfortable with this car could help me out.

-when i spin the brightness dial for the gauges, the radio goes full bright, but not the clock, i only assume it goes brighter because of the (always bright clock mod) and for the following reason.

-when i click the blinker over, the clock briefly flickers bright when the cornering lamp comes on, when i hold the blinker for a quick pass, not clicking over (thus not illuminating the cornering lamp) it does not flicker.

any ideas guys? should i be examining my wiring and looking for a short?

i was also wondering how to get the fogs to light with the corners, and would that affect my auto function.

thanks guys!

On my 03 GLE, the dimmer switch never lit the clock to full brightness...
Same as my 92 SE...

Cutting the illumination wire from behind the clock is the only way to make the clock to its full brightness

It seems you have a problem in your wiring...the clock shouldnt be affected by the signal unless of course there is some sort of parasitic draw thats causing your clock light to dim and go back.
