my 92 se 5 speed hasnt always made this noise but when the engine is cold, or actually hasn't been running in the last 30 mins.... after i shift out of 1st and 2nd, hitting the accelerator is accompanied by a 3 second squeal that chnages slightly in pitch. i think it might be an exhaust componenet. i also just got a ringing noise sounds like coming from my dashboard like loose change, but wasnt.and my back left window motor works, but i guess i need a new regulator. Does anyone know? And what the hell is that squeal???

Is it only when you shift? It almost sounds like a belt slipping. Check the condition of your belts.
