You'll pay the "diagnostic fee" then leave. Waste of time and money after they quote you 3k dollars to fix it.

yeah! what he said lol. seriously considering 8 of them they're going to give you some rediculous price that u or i dont wanna pay, then your're going to be back here, again. but g'luck. i hate the fact that maximas have so many freakin sensors, but all in all they're there for a purpose and "suppose" to ease trouble shooting

Geez...go to your local autoparts store and have them run the codes for FREE. Then come back here for help. Save the $$ on the diagnostic at least.

How does he know there are 8 of them? That implies he had already scanned it by somebody. I don't think OP wants us to fix them. He wants dealer to fix them. There is a joke about a bear and a hunter in a forest that comes to my mind :-)

The OP just wants to whine about it. Watch, after the dealer gives him the "fixes" for the codes he will post back on here whining about the cost and the dealer raping him.

I agree and that thought did previously cross my mind before I posted.

Hopefully OP realizes posting a new thread here shouldn't be the same as posting a status update on Facebook.

I was joking about taking it to the dealer. But I'm frustrated with the endless CEL
8 codes:
P1448, P0430, P1448, P1572, P0139, P1147,P430, P0455

Four of those are the same...actually you have only 6 legitimate codes from what you post.

The P0430 will require a new pre-cat or an O2 sim. The rest...just do a search. Sounds like coil packs.

I just installed new spark plugs. I got the right ones but could it be possible that I installed them wrong as in screwed them in crooked?
And the car sounds fine, no pinging in the motor.

I certainly hope not, but even if you did it shouldn't cause a CEL if the plugs aren't loose. If you stripped the threads, the plug is tight and the coils are seated properly, you'll still get ignition in your combustion chamber.

Did you see the previous posts with the helpful suggestions? Try to find a cylinder misfiring and then swap the coils with one firing correctly to see if that fixes the "coil" code.

Your codes have nothing to do with the spark plugs. You need to replace the following:
P430- Bank 2 Catalytic Converter
P0139 & P1147 - bank one secondary o2 sensor
P0455 & P1488 - EVAP canister and EVAP Vent control Valve

I would replace the oxygen sensor before the Cat to see if the oxygen sensor fixes the p430 code.

I searched for info on the EVAP and I'm confused. I read some recommendations from buying and installing a new gas cap to some other stuff.
Could the EVAP be caused by the bank one secondary o2 sensor?

You should inspect your EVAP system and look for potential leaks. I have seen guys having to replace their canister or valve, but it can also be a leak on one of the lines. If you want, you can try replacing your gas cap as well, or find someone with the same Maxima and switch gas caps to see what happens.

I highly doubt it is related to the bank one secondary O2 sensor.

Gas-cap is the rare silver bullet. Couldn't hurt to buy a new one, but it probably won't help either. Most likely there's a hairline crack in the EVAP tank where the release valve is attached.
