Me Again, now I have a crunchy sound, LOL

Hey, it's me again For those that remember, the loud humming noise I had after driving on flooded roads, that went away the next day, thank God! Thought I'd let you know about that first.

Now, onto the next problem.

01 Max SE, automatic, 111,000 miles, 17"s, New KYB front struts and new strut bearings on one side, new wheel hub and bearings on drivers side, new IACV, new Throttle Position Sensor. All in the past two months. Now what?? Hope you can tell me. Remember, I bought this car from a used rip off dealer, it has been wrecked, but, only the hood showed any visible damage, it is just a tiny bit crooked. HAHA, joke's on me. Paid 3800 for it, tags, tax, all that stuff included. Still hoping I'm not completely screwed on this car. Over 1500 in parts so far, labor done by friends, and I'm still hoping it is done right.

Soooooo, ok, the problem today.

Crunchy sound on passenger tire wheel area. Happens when I stop, happens when I go, happens when I turn. Brake pads are fine. I am however missing both front ABS sensors. One was cut when I bought the car, the other one was just dangling and was broken, or something, I forget what I was told. Someone said maybe my wheel bearing and hub is bad on the passenger side too. Probably, but the driver's side made a humming sound when it went, not a crunchy crunchy. This sound is almost like when your brakes are beyond gone and your rotors are bad, that sound, not a clunk, but like rubber getting smooshed maybe. I also know I need at least a new front motor mount, maybe more but the front one is obvious. Dont think that is what is making this noise though. I also feel like my tires are jiggling everywhere when I hit any bumps, it makes a bunch of clunking sounds. I wonder if that is all because of the motor mount? The car is just pretty much getting on my nerves. I would like it to be quiet and run,

And, is it normal for the car to make a whining type sound when I turn the wheels? I mean, like the power steering, maybe not a whine, but it seems kinda loud to me. Now, please understand, I've only had older cars, then a minivan and now this car. This is the newest car I've had, so I dont know what sounds its supposed to make but mine just seems to be a noisy car.

Well, that's it for now. Any ideas on my newest problems? Thanks for the help! Pamela

it could help us more to help you if you could.
1.Take a video clip of it and post it.
or
2.take some pictures of it.
video clip is better.

Pics/Video Reply

I wouldn't know how to take pictures of it, pictures of what?? LOL! I can turn the wheel and take pictures but not much to see there. At least not that I know of. I'll try to get some video for sound bite reasons, cuz there isn't anything to see really, it's all sounds to me. But my motor is so lound, I'd have to get the video while I'm driving the car and like I said before, the thing is just noisy. Cabin noise is crazy, and when the fans come on, it's even worse, lots of vibration too. That stuff, one guy told me is from my motor mounts being bad. The motor itself seems to be ok. But yeah, I should be able to get the whining/humming noise from when I turn the wheel, maybe some of the fan noise too to bounce that off ya and see if you think anything is wrong there, and, the one thing I might not get, is my crunchy sound cuz it only does that while moving in some way or another. I'll be back soon with the video! Pamela

Could be an axle making that noise and your PS pump may be going bad as well. Check the stickies for changing the PS fluid, I used a turkey baster method to freshen it up. Hard to diagnose over the web without sound clips or videos...
