RPM Switch install help!!!

Well I've tried about 3 or 4 times to install my RPM switch. I have it powered on (thru the cig lighter)....but that's as far as that goes. I ran the wires as it says to do is this thread....

http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generat...h-install.html

I still have the RPM switch powered with the car on, but the green light does not come on after revving it up to the set rpm switch.

and can anybody help me with this...

I think the black is the ground, red is positive, and green goes to the tachometer?

If anybody has some useful tips or what you step by step was, please inform!

its 00VI, just a little dirty...if im not mistaken though, i thought taking the flaps out and blocking it off gives u more power, basically eliminating the 00vi

How do u take it off? Is it better than having the switch? I have the green one running to the tachometer, and the red for power and black for ground.

And yes for everybody, it is a dirty 00vi...haha

I still havent gotten a pic of the rpm switch yet (lazy!) but what are the differences as far has having the switch vs having the power rod removed? How hard is the power rod removal?
