OIL LEAK?!

So I had my oil changed a few weeks ago, and the guy said there is a slight buildup of oil around the oil pan. He said its nothing to worry about yet, but to keep my eye on it. I don't see any drips on the driveway, and I haven't lost any according to the dipstick. My question is, should I be doing anything to fix this before it gets bad? How much might this job cost at a mechanic? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

where is the oil coming from? it might be from the Pan gasket. swap it out if youd like.

Upper pan, lower pan, rms, valve covers, front crank seal, oil pressure sender, timing cover o-rings. Could be any of those. You need to get it in the air and follow the mess up to the source.

It is hard to trace, if not much, do not worry about it, just watch your oil level more frequently. My 2 cents

just wipe the whole pan and drain plug clean and watch for new oil buildup. Don't see why your mech would say there will be buildup unless its already there or its leaking. also clean where the valve cover meets the heads and the timing cover and watch for new oil showing up.

If its not showing loss on your dipstick, i wouldn't stress it too much

You will end up worrying about it at some point. Mine is leaking oil enough that I can't rev past 3K RPM without seeing white smoke. It is bugging me so bad because I usually don't drive wit that kind of ease when there are people who think they can leave me in the dust....
