Experiences With Maxima Quality

How many times have you taken your Maxima in for quality issues and/or warranty-related service since you've owned it?

I've taken my car in four times since I purchased it in February.

1. Creaking noise from windshield pillar.
2. Creaking noise in windshield pillar after they made no attempt to investigate the problem.
3. Issue with headlight and foglight alignment.
4. Bad sunroof motor circuit board and warped rotors.
5. Warped rotors again. Rattling noise from under car when accelerating.

If I have to take it a fifth fime I'm getting rid of this damn thing.

2 times in 2 years.
1st time was to replace the plastic housing for the dash clock. the housing was not fully inserted into the slot. they replaced it in like...5 minutes.

2nd time was for a faulty cat. they replaced the cat under warranty.

and that's it!

my car stays at the shop alot not because there's something wrong with it, but just cuz i'm doing alot to my car...

Well, I have owned 3 Maximas. Each one has never been in for service more than once (not including oil changes, brakes, the usual stuff). 1993 GXE was in for seatbelt chime problem (no charge to fix). 1998 GLE never went in. 2002 SE hasn't been in either.

2K GXE: 2 visits to fix the front brakes problem, a visit to take care of the rear bumper TSB...I'd give my car a B in quality.

Too many times to list!!

1. 7000 Miles- Blown right front Strut.
2. 12K Miles- Air leak from rear passenger window.
3. 15K Miles- Tranny slipping.
4. 22K- Tranny still slipping, but now they notice the problem and are going to address this with a new TCM. Also going to work on the creaks and rattles on the car.
5. Next may be new brake pads.
