KYB is better because you can adjust them.

i can get Konis installed for $550. but normally they are about $550 a set plus install labor.
but i need to sell my Tokicos first if i wanted to do this.
nothing's wrong with my shocks, i just want stiffer ones with adjustability.

I think we've had this conversation before. Deja-vu all over again. The general conclusion is that the H&R/Tokico combination will produce the most similar ride to stock while still giving you higher quality struts and springs and lowering the car.

I intend to go to with this combination, but I am waiting for somebody to get the modified KYBs from Cattman and get a review on installing them on a 5th gen.

I had Tokico Illuminas (5 way adjustable) in my Honda Civic and I didn't like them. Over bumps I felt like they got super stiff but on smooth roads I felt like they weren't stiff enough. I was running them with Eibach springs on with the Ground Control height adjustable kit. I don't know if the strut valving is different in the non-Illumina line of Tokico's or the Tokico's that fit Maxima's.

Has anyone tried Bilstein or Koni's instead of the Tokico's? Also, does anyone know if the KYB adjustables react the same as the Tokico Illuminas (stiffen up over bumps in the road)? Thanks!

Andy
