parts labeled 90k in yellow

My air intake box, master cylinder and several other parts are labeled 90k in yellow grease pen. Anybody know why? My first guess was 90k maintenance was done on these parts, but its the first time I've ever seen parts labeled like that.

Junkyards will mark their parts like that. Maybe you have used parts in your car.

x 2 on JY parts. Sounds like your right front end was hit pretty hard before.

Alright, good to know. I have a few reasons to believe the car wasn't hit, but you never know for sure. The title is clean, the paint all matches and there doesn't seem to be any signs of the core support or fenders being removed. It's not a big deal anyway, it runs really strong and seems to have been well maintained.

as a mechanic, when we replace major components (timing components, water pumps, rads, etc) we write the milage they were changed at on the part or near the part, but JY do the same

Maintenance was done to those components at 90K.

If a master cylinder was replaced due to a collision, the car would be completely folded beyond recognition.

Common sense people...

GOOD shops ALWAYS record the mileage of the car when major parts are replaced, common practice at the better places i have been, and just habit for me, even when i did my plugs/coils/EGR tube, and IACV cleaning
