Hey guys, so I got my D2 coilovers in today and I was reading over the manual and it sucks, I was wondering if anyone had any good write ups with possibly pictures or videos. This is my first coilover install so all the help i can get will be much appreciated. Once this project is done I will post pictures in here!

This link helped me out a little.

Install is straightfoward, just unbolt the old and bolt in the coilovers. Once you have the wheels off and have a good look, it'll all come natural.

Also, buy the strut mount gaskets (or use the old ones), u'll end up with alot of clunking noises if you dont.

 

the mnual says that there is an adjustment to make it so it doenst make clunking noises

 

no one has done coilovers before?

 

Ive done struts and springs Eibachs and Tokico Blues, was easy just time consuming without air tools. got my info from Shiftice.com, everybody says coilovers is way easy since its already assembled..Good Luck..gettin g my BCs in a couple of days...

 

i have d2s what i did was obviously unbolt the three at the top of each strut for the front and the bottom two then the rear is 2 up top in the trunk and 1 on the bottom after u take out the old ones u can choose to use the gaskets but i didnt and i dont have any clunking at all for the measuring i measured the old strut/spring front and rear and then i measured the d2s the way they came in the box after that i kinda just went for it on how low it would sit im about at a 3 and half inch drop in the front and maybe 2 and half in the rear never really measured it

 

and yes the manual does suck lol

 

Thank you for the response, at least now I am not alone. Gonna install them saturday. with that low of a drop you dont scrape at all right? cause I really want to be as low as possible without scrapping or rubbing the tires when I'm turning.
