17" Millie Miglia Evo 5
17" Millie Miglia Evo 5
Hello,
I have a second set of Mille Miglia Evo 5's in my garage that have no tires on them. I have a few questions, I need to get these mounted quickly. I have a maxima in the driveway with 1 flat tire. I currently have Dunlaps on it (snow tires) that are 16 years old and have 75k on them. They are waaay overdue.
1.) What size tire can these rims take? I was thinking 215/45/R17?
Will these be OK, will they rub?
2.) Are there different offsets to the rim? Or were all Evo 5's the same, I was going to check the rim fit when I mount the donut spare on my way to the tire shop?
3.) What is a good tire brand that is aggressive but quiet, and most importantly low thread wear? I'm looking at the Michelin Primacy MXM4, they are like $118 from tire rack and even cheaper from Discount Tire.
Thanks guys!
Jason

Can't say that I'm super well informed for some of your questions, but I'm fairly certain that 215/45/17 won't rub, especially if you aren't lowered (and I think it would be ok too if you were lowered a bit). As far as tires go, I've had Yokohama S. Drives for about two years now and they are awesome. Terrible in the snow (summer tire), but aggressive and very quiet. I swap to snow tires in the winter, so they work great for me. Not sure how long they last yet b/c I haven't had them long enough or put on enough miles. I'm probably around 1/2 tread right now. I know they are a bit on the softer/more grippy side (which means less life). On the plus side they are much cheaper than Michelins.
