Replaced rear brakes and rotors today **PICS**

Today I finished off yesterday's project by installing the passenger side lower control arm. The whole process went without a hitch and took us about 1 hour.

After that, we went ahead and replaced both rear brakes & rotors. We were stuck for hours trying to figure out how to compress the brake piston . Found out you have to turn it to compress it back in.

I guess these are original rotors and brake pads because they were rusted to **** and I don't think it even stop the car. I can drive for hours and the brake rotors feel cool to touch

Anyway, getting old rotors off was a struggle and a half. A regular hammer doesn't do ****, I have to use the 4lbs hammer and pound it numerous times. It still wouldn't come off. I then douse it with WD-40 and it gave up after a while. Rusts suck.

New one installed. Oh my god the car feel like it can stop on a dime!

Tomorrow, I think I'm going to buy all new tires and have them do a complete alignment

With the amount of lining still on the pad shown in the first photo, definitely check for frozen calipers. But it's looking good.

if you decide to upgrade to a better set of rotors, look up powetstop rotors + pads on ebay, youll spend about 150 with free shipping and theyre oem fitment with cross drilled and slotted rotos and that gets you all 4 rotors and pads for each wheel, ask chrisman for pictures, i havent got the. yet but as soon as im get ready to redo my brakes ill be upgrading

The brake calipers are working good because he had to check to see why we couldn't compress the piston. We stepped on the brake and the calipers pushed out but we couldn't figure out how to push it back in. lol
