Should I remove door bumper / guard?

I can't decide if I want to remove or keep the side door bumpers. If I remember right from reading the fsm they are only held on with 3m automotive tape. Has anyone else removed theirs that could share pics? Sorry for poor grammer. I posted from my phone.

They are also held on by clips or the like, so once removed you'll have holes in your doors.

For a daily driver, I'd leave 'em. For a show car/garage queen, I'd remove them and go through the trouble of having the holes filled.

One of them has a broken corner on the rear driver side door and I think it would look nice. I saw a lexus is350 today and they don't have any kinda bumper guard on the doors. Looks very flush and clean.

Seeing how they have clips with holes though, I won't bother. I thought they were only being held on by the 3M tape.

Don't do it unless you can paint it yourself. They not only have 3 round clip holes on each molding but there is a 0.75" v-shaped indent on the door. It's too deep for body filler so you'll need to mig weld, grind, then overlap it with body filler. My moldings were coming off 2 years ago so I removed them with a hair dryer and 3M adhesive remover then threw them back on with 3M molding tape.
