clutch hard to engauge?

Ok the car shifts through all the gears fine. When I try to put the car in 1st and reverse I have to damn near push the peddle through the floor. I adjusted the rod on the master cylinder all it could go, because at first it wouldn't even go into gear. That solved that problem. But its still hard to get it into first and reverse, and it will shake you to death when letting off of the clutch when pulling off. I even had my dad pry the fork back and that didn't help. I then shined q flupash light down into the hole and saw the that release bearing was touching some but not all of the teeth on the pressure plate. I'm stuck on what the problem could be. Sorry for the long post. Oh and my setup is fidanza and competition stage 2.

I wanna say no I didn't but not absolutely sure. As soon as the rain let up here I'm gone try and the tranny back out and double check.
