Got to stop letting the wife borrow my Max...

I actually have no idea how she did it. How can someone ding up a single wheel so many times in one drive? I am beyond pissed, reminds me of when she curbed the crap out of my Prodrive PFF7's I used to have on my 05' Subaru Legacy GT (although they got it even worse). How easy is it to repair something like this? I think a new wheel is about $500 and since they are made to order, it may take months to get it. Not pleased with the prospect of having to spend that kind of $$ to repair/replace my 5 months old wheels already, but I cannot stand looking at the damage.

Sorry to hear that, but are they stock rims? Can't really see what kind of rim you have there.

Man that sucks, now I know not to let my girl drive mine. I've had the same thing fixed before and it cost me around $100 bucks andthe came to my house. Look up curb rash repair online and try to narrow it down to where you live.

I wouldn't think it would cost too much. Nothing over $150. You might be able to find a used wheel. I found one on Kansas City CL & it was like $150 I believe.

I have had my '11 Maxima for 1 month and my wife hasn't even drove the car yet. She said that she is scared to because she doesn't want to check a wheel

Ouch!!!!

Ah, I remember those wheels- Forgestar F14's in gunmetal finish. Depending on how deep and how many gouges there are in the metal, a reputable shop might charge you $100-150 per wheel to fix the blemishes.

No not stock's, they are Forgestar F14's in 20x9 like GM_Traitor mentioned. Our camera got stolen the other day so I had to resort to my phone camera for pics. Couple of the gouges are pretty deep.

Look like this when they are not rashed:

the only time i let my girl drive was before i got aftermarket wheels. with aftermarket wheels, especially low profile tires. you always have to remember to turn corners a little wider and give yourself extra space when parking at the curb.

yeah to be honest i have to be pretty careful with the OEM 19's too. my girl doesnt understand why i wont go through drive-throughs, why i give myself like 3-4 feet clearance on my passenger side, or park facing forwards against cement blocks. too much risk to the rims/lip...

sorry to hear what happened to your rims though man. as GM said a good rim place can fix that for a couple hundred tops and as you said are def worth repairing quickly to get em lookin right again

As Homer Simpson would say....DOOOHHH!!!!!!!! That sucks dude. Not sure how she made such small but deep gouges. Looks like it was hit with a chisel. Maybe you should kick her to the curb?!? J/K She def. earned you some curb cream. Not sure if you guys ever heard of curb cream but anytime anyone scraps a curb in the fire engine, they have to buy everyone at the station ice cream... I'm proud to say, I’ve never had to buy any

I think I may have an idea what has happened.

I clicked on the photo in your OP, checked out all 156 slides I found there, and saw dozens of photos of your beautiful daughter, dozens of photos of your handsome son, dozens of photos of your very nice Maxima, dozens of photos of wheels and tires, dozens of photos of electronics, and two measly snaps of your wife (photos #89 and #90).

I think she purposely scrubbed your nice wheels against the curb as a way of saying 'hey, I am here.'

lol, I do get crap for not taking enough pictures of her. Then when I do, I get crap for taking pictures of her. Can never seem to win. She gets plenty of pictures taken of her, just that folder on photobucket is from my mobile uploads and a few random pics I throw there for stuff I sel/postl on forums. I have my daughter home with me a couple days a week so she gets the most snaps.

Back on the wheel repair front, found a couple places locally that I will check out. Initial estimate without seeing the wheel other then my crappy phone pic is $150-200.

Well that sucks its the opposite for us Im more prone to damaging a wheel since I can careless about slowing down for all these potholes but my wife drives very carefully and avoids every nick in the rode I dont think Ive ever been in the car with her and felt a hard bump.

I agree it does not look like most cases of curb rash I've seen. It doesn't even look like curb rash. It looks like someone took a jackhammer to it.

I agree these are strange marks for curb rash. These look like dings inflicted by a human. But the dings don't seem to be very deep. Must have been done by a woman who was very upset about something . . .

Don't be to mad at her. A lady I work with has broken 3 ... THREE ! Rims on her 2011 Sport. She saw mine when I got it, loved it and had to have one. I told her before she got it, this is not a womans car LOL ...
Yes, 3 seperate occasions she has BROKEN her rims. Not bent, not curb rash, broken. As in the spare had to be put on and she had to go buy a new rim haha ... it can always be worse.

Dear God.... What does she do??? Curb hop to get into parking spots? Check to see where the shoulder is by running off it?

Does she actively try to kill pedestrians that are on the sidewalk? Damn.

Got the wheel repaired today. Ended up being $200. There was another outft that quoted me $150, but they did not want to come to my house since I was a ways away from them. Repair work turned to out be pretty dang good. Since the rash was pretty deep in a couple places there is some slight indentation, but barely noticable. Pretty pleased with the work overall.

Ouch on the damage, that is why I don't let anyone else drive my car(when I used to, it came back with tons of road rash on the rims).

the repair work looks great. Can't even tell it was there.
