Can anyone provide a picture of where the vacuum cut valve bypass valve is on a 97? Or a solution to this.

I keep getting P1441 P code. And now a P0400 to go with it. note: codes only started coming after highway drives at high speeds and only after the mechanic replaced knock sensor! could it be ecu problem? ive cleared the code three times now to be sure but yeah every time i hit high speeds for a while it comes back.

note: i looked at FSM and the diagram doesn't really help =S nor did the diagram on CourtesyParts...

 

PM me an email address and I can send you a pdf that might help. The valve is on a bracket just in front of the canister with another related valve and a bunch of small vacumn connections. Look for one of the nipples to be broken; I had that happen, the vacumn line held it in place and until I pulled the bracket off the car I didn't see it.

 

Or if anyone knows where I can purchase this exact part for a 97 that'd be good. Theres sooo many its just confusing with all the different names for the parts.

 

That valve is located behind the drivers side rear wheel. It's between the charcoal canister and the gas tank.

nice alright. now where can i find this for our cars. lol. :s i might as well just replace it? i mean ive looked on most parts sites but basically because the name varies in so many ways its hard to find the right one.



easier than replacing the EGR valve which my mechanic wants to do :s
