I suppose just drive and enjoy. Closing on a White 1997 Maxima with 76,000 miles, GLE. Something I always wanted, nearly bought a 4 cylinder honda but had a panic attack with the thought of making payments and just not liking the car !

My questions
1. Leave the Bose System in there ? Any recommendations for a new head and speakers that will preserve the stock appearance?
2. Anything aftermarket that I should add for suspension related improvements ?
3. Any lessons learned regarding a Maxima 1997 GLE that I should be wary about ?

1. BOSE is good enough for me, although I do not have it. I still think it sounds great. It is a lot of work taking it out and re-doing everything, I would leave it for now. It is something you can always do down the line.
2. For Suspension, get s Rear Sway Bar (RSB) and a Strut Strut bar. Both make a tremendous difference. You can go further and get lowering springs and upgraded struts, but that depends on you.
3. Don't think so Just get front clear turn signals

 

That looks ghetto, you need to put them rims back on

 

get the front strut bar and a rear sway bar, a pair of h and r springs and a set tokikos and you'll be fine with suspension. the only thing you might want to worry about are the O2 sensors. 2 of mine fried a month afetr i got it, and a lot of other people on the org. have said the same thing.

Great choice. if you do a search on mods, there are so many you can do! I can't list them all here....

Common ones are clear tail lights and corners, actually makes a big difference!
