i change my oil removed the panel in the fender well and drained the oil and changed the filter.. i then put in 5w 30 valvoline dura blend
4 1/2 qts tried to crank and i just got the noise like at the intial startup the very first noise but this,just did that like it was not turning over just the noise. there was also a smell in the engine area like a electrical type of smell maybe? any suggestions or ideas on what this could be.... any and all would be helpful.

You might of popped that little wire off thats down there...I always hit it when Im changing my oil...I also get alot of oil on it too...I dont know where it comes from or goes to...but check it out



Nothing serious like the alternator could have gone that quickly
