ok , now that you have all stopped laughing from the title of this post, i have been challenged to race a kid with an s-10 extreme, he says he has a supercharger, but i dont know how valid that claim is.
As far as power goes , i have a CAI and a Greddy Cat back , my budget Y should be here in a few days ,,, im automagic, what do you think the turnout of this race will be? should i wait for the Y ,,, id like to know ASAP. Thanks ,,, god i hate this kid , hes talking such smack on all nissans.

 

Whether he's 'blown' or not is definitely "need to know" info. for anyone to have an opinion on this. Can you find out for sure & let us know?

It would definitely be worth putting the y-pipe on beforehand.

Btw, if this kid is such a punk, don't let him get to ya. Know that you're not a punk, and because of that, you make a better contribution to society than him, regardless of who comes out ahead. Having said that, spank him good & send him home crying to his mama.

Those can run anywhere from mid 17's with a 2.8 and automatic to mid 15s with a 4.3 and 5 speed stock. You might wanna find out what engine and transmission he has, and whether or not he has a blower.

 

they aren't fast. i have like 4 friends with those god d@mn trucks (i live in missouri, everyone drives friggin' trucks) but the all have the 4cyl except one. he has the 4.3 vortec mated to a 5spd complete with racing stripes that make him think hes in a godd@mn viper. anyways, back when i first got my car, we raced and i beat him by at least 3 cars to 100, then we went from a rol because he complained about not getting a good enough launch and i smoked him by probably 4 or 5 cars by the time i hit 115. those trucks look nice but they aren't that quick. but if you're automagic and hes got the 4.3 5spd it'll be close.

 

They are not fast. The s10 will probably challenge you at the take off - they have a lot of torque - after that, is all you.

 

If he has the 2.2 forget about it. They have nothing to them and aftermarket doesnt really bother with them either so chances are not many power mods.

I've spanked an S10 Easy with only a pop-charger. Beat him by about 4-5 carlengths before I put on the hazards. And he was definently racing, we did this at the illegals @ Rankin...

Race him for money and by something even nicer for the car with it....

 

Dude y-pipe or no y-pipe you will beat him the s-10 extreme with the 4.3 is slow, plus theres no blower for it maybe a turbo but the kits like 4 grand and there slow period. Gearing is real short. Top out at like 100 or 105 sop i think youll be ok but if you really want to teach him a lesson about the max with for the y-pipe it does help a lot.

I raced my friend w\ a 2000 xtreame 5-Speed. Got him no problem and he has flows and programmer. If he has SC though I don't think you will stand a chance. Plus you got an auto.
