wow u can get a used altima hybrid for fairly cheap, 35 mpg would rock.

now I'm imagining this altima hybrid with a maxima a35 body, WOW!!

it could've easily been done since maxima shares the same platform at altima, I'd gladly lose the horse power to get 35 mpg.

I wouldnt mind one either minus the lose of hp part But then they would have to probably make a non hybrid and gas only version which might raise costs. If the Max was a high volume car then they probably wouldve been made a hybrid. Maybe the next gen will bring a hybrid.

In addition to being a lower-volume car, the Maxima doesn't have a hybrid option because Nissan's competitors don't either, but Infiniti offers the M hybrid because Lexus makes a similar product available.

The M hybrid has the same engine as the Maxima, has 360 combined horsepower, and gets 27mpg city/32mpg highway. Though in a different price range, it shows Nissan's potential. So, if/when Nissan makes a hybrid Maxima, it should be good.
