Removing Stock Resonator, Feels Faster Now??

When I did my full cat-back I left my resonator on cuz I didn't want it to be too loud.. But now I decided to remove my resonator and just run it straight-through... It seems that I have more pull on the top end now? Does that seem right, or is it me just flooring it more cuz I like the growl

straight pipe would flow better than a RT cat since you would have no restriction at all. But you wouldn't pass emissions with a straight pipe. It's up to you... you can get a straight pipe and then when you need emissions testing done, just slap on you stock cat for that.

I am having a custom ypipe made for my 2k2. IYO would a hiflow cat make a noticable diff? I'm not gonna cut the resonator.

if you are going to mod the rest of the exhaust (b-pipe, muffler), then the next thing would be a hi-flow cat.

So going by your comment, I would then be safe to assume the RT Cat is the better way to go then the Straight pipe?
