mechanical '97 gauge cluster LED
mechanical '97 gauge cluster LED
Went to the FSM EL-80 for the 97 gauge cluster, and according to the diagram of the rear of the gauge cluster there are
14 warning lights (including turn signals and high beams)
and
5 lights for the general illumination of odo, tach, 2 gauges
Are they all the same LED bulb ? or do I need two different bulbs?

But maybe someone on this forum already knows and can let me know.
This way I won't have to pull the cluster, reinstall it and do it all over again when I get the bulbs.
I read the threads but they seem a bit fuzzy on the whole 96-97 mechanical gauge cluster variation.. the 98-99's don't fit and all that jazz.
That's what the forum is for I thought.

The snag is that the LED's that fit the 98-99 actually replace the 14 "warning lights" in the '97 gauge cluster, but not the 5 gauge-illuminating bulbs, but as shyt would have it, those 98-99 LED's are not available in "natural white," which the WLEDx5 194's, which replace the 5 gauge lights on the '97 cluster, are available in and I want.
I would rather not have two different color bulbs on the cluster.
Why does this have to be such an effin PITA? Anyone? Buler?

'97 mechanical gauge cluster
there are 19 lights in the gauge cluster = 5 illuminating the 4 gauges + 14 illuminating the warning lights
I'll just order 5 natural white of the WLED-x5(194) type for the gauge bulbs.
AND, color match the 14 warning lights with LED Neo5-x HP's, so blue for the high beams, amber for SEL, green for... you get the point.
I wonder how it'll turn out.

i just replaced my bulbs a month or so ago and the 14 warning lights are available in just about any color on superbrightleds.com and those are "neo5hp" for the high power ones and if im not mistaken the cluster bulbs are t10s you can call their customer support and ask for dave, tell him shaun sent you to them and you need the main cluster lights for a 97 maxima. look to spend about 12 to 15 bucks for the hp cluster bulbs with shipping for the 5 bulbs, the ones i got were like 13 something for the high power leds with 360 degree pattern i think theyre the t10 the size is something like 1 3/4 leds
