Whos Interested in a Turbo Kit

Im working on a turbo kit as we speak.
Two stages:
Stage 1-
Custom Manderal Bent Manafold
T3/T4 Turbo
All Piping
All Mounting Hardware
Turbo Timer
Super AFC
Fuel Pressure Regulator
Lager Injectors
Custom Fuel Rail ( still thinking about this one)
Waste Gate
Stage 2-
All of the above
8.5:1 compression pistons from JE
Also a down pipe will be included which will end up right where the stock y-pipe would end so no exhaust mods will be needed from cat back unless you have stock exhaust then i suggest a min of 2.5 if not 3inch

With the stage two you will be able to put up to 20 psi to the motor, ive spoke with je they said our botom ends will hold up to 25 safely with 8.5:1 pistons also this helps with detonation at high pressure and rpms. Not sure on price yet but some where in the $2000 range for stage 1 and 3000$ for stage 2. If anyone is interested in just the pistons for the SC max let me know there 790 a set with rings but i think if i tell them more people are interested they might cut us a break.

Around 2000, wow, that is a great deal. However, does a shop have to do the install or can a very experienced DIY do the install? Thanks guy for working with us. You are sure to get some business.

Many people are interested, including myself. We have yet for someone to come through on it, however...

Best of luck to you and keep us posted.

Hey guys the only prob im having with the whole kit right now is the damn manifold. im just working out the bugs now so that it doesnt spike the turbo and it flows right but the down pipe is just a simple thing after i figure out where exactly the turbo ends up and where everything else ends up. But im looking at a march completion date hopefully ill have it done and installed on mine by my b-day, then we can go into mass production. im going to work out the bugs for the next two months but ill keep you all informed.

No anyone should be able to install it no shop unless you have custom exhaust. should bolt up just like a y-pipe to rest of exhaust cause thats where the whole thing will meet the rest of the exhaust.

I'm interested, also, i'd like to know the benefits/catches about the turbo as opposed to the s/c... (Nice price tho ) Mad props if it works and once it's proven, you can expect a call from me

only go to about 12psi on boost due to size limits with the pully plus the turbo to me is more reliable and you can always get a bigger turbo, more power.

I'm seriously interested in a turbo kit! I have heard of so many trying to do this. It would be a major breakthrough if you could do this!

I have been trying to do research on how to do this myself...not much success since I am so new to turbos and don't know what's involved. Do you have any references I can look at to prepare me for what I need to do when your kit is complete?

Keep me informed.

Thanks

:o)

This is funny. I promised myself a long time ago that when I passed the FE/EIT exam, I'd treat myself to a Super charger. Well, the second I found out I passed and couldn't wait to order one, threads like this pop up (there's another on in the general forum). I'd much rather have a turbo than a sc. So, now the sc purchase is on hold and I have to wait to see if a turbo actually does come through. Papa, if you make one, I'll be the first in line. I would be sooooo stoked. Please keep us informed. Thanks a million.

P.s. How much extra for an intercooler?

get one on a maxima and then you'll have a lot of interest... many have attempted this project, few have done anything like you have. What about a front mount intercooler

a front mount would go good with the skyline kit , and with stock ,,, we have plenty of ventilation , just gotta find space

Is it possible to use turbo and NOS at the same time ?

Thanks
Turbo and Nitrous are possible at the same time , i know they are in hondas and such anyway , so i dont see why not on a Maxima, with an engine 9000 times better. You might have to run a smaller shot , say if youre commming from a 100 shot , bring it to like a 50 or so. but hey , youre adding boost from a turbo , so its a good trade. youll definitely need new pistons and injectors and all that though. and a load of guages.. but im not sure , just what i think

I'm increasing the NOS every few days

I want to do the maxima faster than this but I don't know that to do ..

Do I have to change the conecting rod or to put a new gaskit or block gard or only we have to change the pistons ?

Thanks
dont go by what i say ... i dont want to be responsible for if your car gets messed up.

for just nos you can run stock internals and everything ... use search. Just put in Nitrous setup , or Nitrous questions , and there are millions of threads about it.

If this turbo thing goes through, it'd be a great competitor for the $tillen SC. I'd take this one over that one, caus i'm a poor HS Kid who's only got 1250 saved for forced induction and 450 for bolt-ons. High School can suck my nuts.

Anytime you go with different injectors, you must have the ecu recalibrated to get the open loop portion of the fuel maps as normal as possible. I don't know if the safc will be able to compensate because the safc only changes the closed loop portions of the fuel maps.

If you can do stage 1 for $2000, that's really cheap. Good luck.

Congrats pocket! What state are you in? In CA the test is offered only in April and October. Also, we don't get our scores if we pass. Oh well, I was just stoked to pass my first time (not to mention the 'spot check' for a few hundred at work and the $1 raise!) What discipline are you?

Papasmurf, a Turbo Question......

I love the idea of turbocharging my Maxi-pad. I have 2 questions for you.

1)I heard automatics are better for turbo's off the line and there is someway you can get them spooled up while on idle and just destroy the opponent off the line if he is a 5spd with the same turbo ? Sorry I couldn't find out more but a Nissan guy told me this a while ago when we were talking about 5spd conversion and turbo's.

2)Turbo lag = No fun. Will your kit have an electronic motor power assist to spool up the turbine prior to the exhaust spooling it up ? That way the lag is like eliminated, and we could get low end power as well ?
