Auto Side Mirror Question

When putting my Max into reverse the mirrors auto tilt for curb side view. Is there a way to shut this feature off. I could not find the option. In my Suburban, this feature was programmable.

Yes.
You know that tiny switch you use to select the right or left mirror when manually adjusting them?

Put that in the middle and the auto down on reverse will be disabled.

It's funny that you ate trying to ditch that feature. I have been wondering why I don't have the feature. I have 2012 SV with monitor / rear camera package.

Doesn't anyone read the manual? It's all there.

I was about to ask if he borrowed the car from someone. Seriously you will start a thread to ask how to turn this off?

I have it too on my 6thgen and yes, I turned it off and use it only when I need to parallel park some times. I turned mine off because after a while, it started acting funny maybe from over use. So, I think you might be wise to turn it off periodically as I do.

I have been wondering why mine didn't tilt anymore when backing up. I know on the test drive they did and now they don't. Its all because I put the switch back in the middle after adjusting the mirrors to my liking. Thanks!
