Sunroof Weatherstrip Trim Flew Off!
Sunroof Weatherstrip Trim Flew Off!
Driving down the highway yesterday with the sunroof open and all of a sudden a piece of "rubber" landed in my lap. Needless to say, I was a bit surprised.
Pulling over I examined the piece and found that it came from the right side of the sunroof (looks like a very large multi-blade wiper.) Looks like it fits between the sunroof and the track.
Took it to the dealer who promptly ordered a replacement part (named side trim-right..$125) I asked if it rained, would it cause any leakage. They said no, it is separate from the "seal," yet I remain concerned. Hope it comes in before the next rain (no car wash until it gets replaced!!!)
Anyone else have this happen?

My apologies....if it is any consolation I did have to run with the AC on today!
