Who is the fastest NON SC maxima?

Just wondering on here who has the best quater mile time with no NOS or SC. My best so far was 14.78 @ 98 and I have a y-pipe, custom exhaust, intake, short throw shifter and a random tech. free flow cat.
This QM time was on the stock 16's with yoko tires on them.

The fastest we know of is papasmurf. I cant wait to see his slip.

Next would be Don in Texas 14.2 (auto) & Theblue runnign 14.2.

There are a lot of guys running mid 14's with intake & full exhaust.

I was thinking of something else because here is the exact slip:

I just rounded that up to 96 because I have a bunch of times that are 96.

As far as I know, the order goes like this:

Papasmurf-14.0-timeslip pending
Don-14.2-proven
theblue-14.28-proven
jeffK-14.3-proven
VQdriver-14.36-proven
then maybe me? 14.46-proven

I'm sure I'll get flamed to high hell if I'm wrong but off the top of my head thats how the numbers stack up.

You can lead them to the water, but you can't make them drink.

What I want to know is who is the fastest automagic with just bolt ons(no SC or nitrous)? Sorry but I got to exclude Don, he doesn't count because he has done a lot work(engine, tranny, etc.), most of them he won't tell us of course.

Maybe Synki? IIRC, he hit 15.3 with just intake? I hit 15.4(could have done better, but first time at track) with cai, ypipe, and exhaust.

Why would I be excluded? I have the same engine the car came with in 1995 (never been removed, the heads have never been off, 110,000 miles). The tranny has been replaced with a VLSD 3 years ago, other than that, its all "bolt-on" (to the .org definition). My new engine isn't in the car yet, so that doesn't count. I'm not sure what everyone is thinking that I am not telling, so enlighten me. I don't remember anyone telling me any of their mods (real, not cyber-typing) when I started with this car.

You should break it up into groups, so everyone has a chance to be on the list:

Fastest with no mods
Fastest with exhaust only
Fastest with intake only (homemade dones't count)
Fastest with "little work done"
Fastest with "alot of work done"
Fastest with "work done by someone else"
Fastest with "work I'm gonna do someday"
Fastest with Eibach sprgs (add Tokicos will delete you from this list)
Fastest in towns with less than 30,000 people (must prove it)
Fastest with 87 octane (again, this must be proved, receipts will do)

Fastest in the group that knows what they are talking about
Fastest in the group that doesn't (very big list here, will have to break down tie-breakers into date they joined the .org)
Fastest "newbie"
Fastest "Lives in a Maxima"
Fastest with Proof (video, witness, tape, drawings, timeslips, etc)
Fastest without Proof (Cyber-Racing qualifies for this group)

Don

I def am not one of teh fastest NA but faster i guess we could say? I know Don is def #1. Next as of what i know was Jim W (Now Jim Browski on teh board) ran a 15.1 on his auto (He now has a A6 2.7TT). After would be Medicsonic & Mzmtg with the same time. Then i guess i would fall around after that. Going fast NA would be excellent but i am shooting for one of teh fastest autos in NJ.

You think I am capable of better than a 15.4 with bolt ons? When I take my SC, the setup will be the same: ypipe, cai, exhaust, rt cat, and VB(didn't have this before). When I ran the 15.4, it was my first and only time at the track so far. Additional, I manually shifted last time. I wonder would I have got better times if I had just let the computer shifted? Maybe a possible 15.0?

Will you be dragging with your 17's? You should be able to pull anywhere from 15.5-15.2. 15.1 is possible with smaller rims.

It will all depend on what you launch and your 60ft times. The 60ft time is what ill make you or break you.

If you pulled a 2.3 60ft, you are in 15.4-15.3 time. If you pull a 2.2 60ft, you are at least a 15.3-15.2. I use to pull 2.4 & 2.5 and still ran 15.5 (dont know how but i did).

With VB mod, leave it "D". That is what its meant for. I got best results with that.

The last time I dragged with my stock rims and stock tires. I got a 2.3 60ft, so I the 15.4 was correct. When I do drag again, I probably will use my stock rims with some drag radials. The last time I launched at around 2k, too high you think?

It all depends on how well your tires grip. I am planning on getting DR's myself. Launch as high as you can will still getting traction. I launch @ 1500 rpms. Anythign higher and i spin like crazy.

With my automatic I got mad wheel spin at 2000 rpm. 1500 seems to be the best to launch at for autos.
