A Good sticky tire, improve braking?

On a 17x7 with a 40mm offset

Looking for a good tire with really good grip to help me with the terrible wheel spin im getting rite now and to help increase stopping power. Looking for a summer tire as I live in Cali with minimal rain season. Daily Driver I need something to last 200+ miles a week, any suggestions?

Dunlop Direzza, Yokohama S Drive. I've had great experience with both of those, and wouldn't hesitate to suggest either as a wicked high performance summer option. Want stickier? Falken Azenis.

I rock Nitto NT555's. Traction is great, they are awesome in the rain, etc, etc. They are also decent in the snow (although thats most likely not a big factor in cali)

it's all about compromise. how long do you need them to last? 200 miles a week doesn't mean anything. if you don't mind replacing your tires every year you are looking at a certain class of tire, if you need them to last 4 years then that's another class.

Thanks man! Appreciate the compliments. It has come a long way.

Definitely look into them. They're real nice. I loved them and would've got another set if my last set of wheels didn't come with tires. They're cheap too.

I can vouch for this. A friend had a heavily modded Sti with Azenis 615K tires, and those tires gripped like a cat on carpet. It's actually a D.O.T. approved track competition tire. Also, they do have good wet performance for when you do get caught out in the rain. The ride quality and road noise of the tire is surprisingly street friendly. It is a forgiving tire with excellent feedback and let's you know when you're reaching your limit without suddenly breaking traction going around a corner.

Here's a link to Falken's Azenis 615K's page.
