Rattle above driver-side door frame

Hey Guys,

I'm new to this forum so if this needs to go somewhere else, please let me know. I have recently started having a "rattle" in the ceiling somewhere between the ceiling handle and the center door frame between the front and rear doors. I call it a rattle but it sounds more like someting sticky being pulled apart or velcro being slowly seperated. When I put slight upward pressure in the area, the rattle stops. I've searched for this issue and i've seen threads regarding rattles due to the dual sun roof. I have the regular sun roof and so I dont think those issues are related to what I have.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks,
Wayne

I know there have been posts on this before and I believe the issue had to do with the Velcro holding up the roof lining

Okay that makes sense. Thanks for the reply. Has anyone come across a remedy for this?

I believe some just pushed up or looked through somewhere like between the sunroof and the roof and could see a clip or some velcro that the lining wasnt attached to. I think the remedy was pushing up to get it to reattach or something. I'm at work otherwise I would find the thread for you. I know its a recent thread though so look through like the first few pages in here

I don't know the name of the thread, or where it may be at this time. But I do recall one entrepreneurial soul who stopped the noise by stuffing a few old socks between the liner and the roof by working from his open sunroof. I would hope he considered that to be an interim solution.
