Please Help - '92 SE idling really high

Hi All,

I have a '92 SE that's idling really high in drive and park. It just started two days ago, but it's getting worse. Usually, in park it'll idle around 1100 rpm and now it's idling above 1500 rpm. In drive after it's already warmed up(where I first started noticing it), it's idling at stoplights at 900 rpm when it normally idles between 500 - 600. What should I look for here? Vacuum leak? Something fuel/air related? Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Idle Rpm should be at 700-800 in neutral.

You could check for codes (these rarely ever throw them, though).

Otherwise, these things are tough to diagnose. Vacuum seems logical. Cleaning TB and IACV would be cheap things that you could do yourself. It could be one of the gaskets to TB or IACV are bad. Take them apart, clean them and put on new gaskets.

After that, my guess might be a coolant temp sensor. When mine went bad, the fans would stay on and the idle was crazy up and down.
