OP I'd do low beams and fogs(leave the high beams alone) but know that HID fogs will require some modification.
Check out www.tspny.com.

I had it for 2 weeks and that 12k turned out to be completely blue so I decided to take it off before getting pulled over.

Yeah I guess 6000k headlights and fogs are the way to go. But I do like the 6000k headlights and 3000k fog light looks IMO. And if you have more money, I'd say do a retro.

Post up pics if you can please.

for those of you who say that low AND high beams are OP what if i did 8000k low and 6000k high? I'm most likely leaning to just low beams and fogs considering what you guys said but exploring all options, when i get the job done ill definitely post pics.

If you are trying to do your highs you might as well put some projectors in them. As they will blind people like there is no tomorrow.

I wouldnt do high at all. You hardly ever will use high and will have extra wires and ballasts under hood for no good reason.

OP please do some reading on kelvin temperature ratings.6k ,8k,10k etc has nothing to do with "POWER".It has every bit to do from how white to how policesirenbluehonda-ish you'd like to be.IF you want 10-12k you might as well go all out and get some neon lights while ur at it.

I'm pretty sure the stock on our i30 is probably 8000k. I really like the way they look at night. I would actually prefer about 6000k, but stock looks good for me.

Ours definitely aren't white. They are blue. They have not been altered. They have that classy blue tint to them. I'm not very good when it comes to aftermarket headlights if you couldn't tell...

That's a no go unless he drops in some bi-xenon projectors.
