FS: NEW 215/55ZR-16 Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 "max performance" tires

Hey all,

Wow it's been a lonnnng time since I've been on here! I wonder how many of those old 4th Gens are still hummin'... Anyhow, I've got some UN-used tires here for sale, please PM me if interested.
Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3
"Maximum performance" summer/rain tires

$680 (if picked up in Ottawa area). (If making an offer, please be reasonable about it---these are UN-used Z-rated performance rubber that cost over $200 a tire even in this small size---I'm motivated to sell and meet reasonable offers but please don't give me comparisons to cheap rubber like the lurkers on kijiji... I think Max.org users are much brighter than that )

Set of 4

Size 215/55ZR-16
Fits 16-inch rims, 6 to 7.5 inches wide.
Load rating 93W
Z-rated
UTQG 280 AA A
Specs/info/reviews:

(Goodyear no longer offers this size.)
Un-used, never mounted, still have stickers on them. My '96 GXE died before I could get them mounted. They've been stored in a clean, cool, dry place out of sunlight. You could lick them and still taste the factory in Akron. Purchased from TireTrends in BC in Apr 2008.

Incredible performance from the previous set, especially in wet conditions, by my humble standards at least. With a fresh set, I could stand on the brakes in the wet and come to a dead stop from 80 km/h with no wheel lock / skid (no ABS on my Max). Granted my brakes were probably weak, lol but I never had a tire perform like that before. I generally found them better than Toyo Proxes T1-R and -S, and way better than the old Dunlop Sport SP9000's.

I used to mount this size on a set of 16" steel wheels (cheaper, lighter, and more durable than an alloy set, so good enough for me ). I also have these rims if someone is interested (currently mounted with a very used set of the same tires as above). The rims are shown on the car below---ain't they sick?!

Thanks,
KDJ
