Alpine MRD-F752 and Type R

Anyone on here remember this old school 5 channel amp? Im wondering if it will power type R's okay (I have both just laying around and am thinking about putting them together).

The amp is super clean and under powered. Rated at 75x4 and 250x1 but is actually 104x4 and 398x1 (on the birth sheet).

Im not to happy with Type R components but Ive already got them.....I think they are a bit to bright for my ears. I might get some other speakers....thinking Kappa Perfect 6.1

your thoughts?

Yeah, I know it will power one type r sub - thats what Ive had it running in the past (but youve got to run it in 4ohm.) What about a pair of 6x9 and component type r highs? I know those are power hungry highs...

IMO kappas are pretty much all very bright speakers from what I've heard in-store demos and my own kappa components

Let me know if you want to sell that MRD-F752, or trade for a different Alpine amp!
