Warpspeed "Y" Pipe Owners

Hi everyone, I have a 2000 Maxima SE with CA emissions. I ordered a "Y" Pipe from Warpspeed back on March 15th, and I still haven't received it yet. Now my question is, has anyone else ever had to wait this long before receiving their exhaust pipe from this company? Or am I just the unlucky one? Thank you.

I've called them every Friday since I ordered, the woman Lin, keeps telling me I should have it next week, that there are two orders in front of mine. Than I was told that they were waiting for Flex sections to be delivered. I just want the part.

They are most likely out of stock. ALways call and double check they actually have them even if the site says they do

You think that they would have told me that, on one of the three phone conversations that I have had with them. If my b****ing is considered too early, than I apolgize. But 18 days to me, seems a bit much. I feel justified with my complaining.

no thats a long time. I bought my Mishimoto rad from a company that didnt have it in stock but I knew this and was willing to wait to get it for dirt cheap. I dont know if OBX has a ton of them laying around. You ordered it straight from OBX? They might be waiting for more orders to start a new batch. These are all guesses of course but it seems likely unless they are walking it to your door

No I didn't buy anything from OBX, I bought a Warpspeed Y pipe, straight from their website.

I hope your right sir. What really chaps my ***, is that if it was back ordered, why didn't they just tell me that on the phone instead of saying there were a couples orders in front of me?

I just got off the phone with Lin from Warpspeed, she had no new news for me. My part hasn't been shipped out to me yet, I wish I would have went with Cattman, FML.

Well I'm glad to hear that they are made once they are ordered, I thought they were just sitting on the shelf collecting dust. I still wish that they would have told me this info, instead of having to find it out the hard way like I did. Thanks again to all of you that responded back with your info.

Plenty of months? I don't have plenty of months to wait, so that better not be the case.

you'll get it soon..you said you purchased it directly from warpspeed? if so, you're covered by paypal if you dont receive it. but they should atleast keep you posted about whats going on, you shouldnt have to contact them on a day to day basis. good luck, i hope they hit you back with a tracking number

Ordered y-pipe on March 12th for my '02. Called them 2 weeks later, lady I spoke with had order sent out that day. I received it a few days later. Best if you call them to verify order and shipment.

You must have been one of the orders that was in front of me. Dallas told me he was waiting for a shipment of flex sections that were supposed to come in last Friday, Lin told me yesterday that they came in yesterday, so well see if my order ships out this week. Someone from Warpspeed is probably following this thread and have already figured out who I am, and are delaying my order on purpose, lol.

It's Friday the 6th, and I still don't have the "Y" Pipe. Or any idea when to expect it.

They took the money from me back on the 15th of March. I didn't know that I had 45 days to file a complain, I might just do that.

I've heard about fitment issues with OBX's products, I really wish I went with Cattman, stupid me trying to save some money, I should have known that saving the extra cash, was gonna mean fu*king headaches for me.

go on paypal, confirm how long you have before you can file a dispute, tell the warpspeed you give them until that date to provide you w/ the product, if they dont you will file a dispute unless they issue you a refund. or tell them to issue you a refund until they have some instock and then you will purchase

I'm told that they are made to order, that they don't just have them sitting on the shelf collecting dust, but does it really take one month for them to make it? If so, they should put that on their website next to the product information.

Not without some custom work, and I'm pretty sure what's why he said this:

Are you doing the install yourself or a shop...

I'll be doing the install myself. I might pay a shop to replace my exhaust bolts, it all depends on how difficult they are gonna be to loosen.

I wasn't quite sure what he was saying, but thank for clearing that up.

I forgot to ask this question. Will I need some kind of tune after installing the "Y" Pipe? I've read on other threads about people needing to tune there engine's after doing any kind of aftermarket exhaust work. Thank you.

I ordered mine on EBAY April 7, 2012. The estimated delivery for me is April 30-May 4. They didn't give me any tracking too. I think you'll be fine.

So its April 16th, which means its been over one month, and I still do not have my Y Pipe. Thank you to all who have posted feedback on this topic.
