Alternator? 2002 se
I know this is not gonna be cheap lol
alternator or a short somewhere?
I forgot to post this...
I cleaning the maf a month ago and took off the negative battery cable for 15 and put back on but the gas mileage is BADDDD, I'm talking 250 a tank on 93. I guess I need to reset the ecu again, is there a guide on how to do this?

My suggestion is to not skimp on this replacement part. Not all alternators are the same. They may all carry the same warranty, but that warranty should never have to be used. Our alternators aren't in a place where you can swap it out within 5 minutes. Spend the extra money now so that you can have peace of mind later. The NAPA alternator is the best one out there, but you will pay for the quality. Also, their warranty includes roadside assistance. So, save 50 bucks now and take the increased chance of having to replace it multiple times or save yourself the headache and purchase one that is made to be sold to and installed by automotive technicians.
If you have low MPG, but power still feels good, then it's highly probably the maf is bad. Nothing else, afaik, is going to give you that bad of economy while retaining power.
I already had that issue before. I was getting maybe 15 mpg. Swapped the maf and it jumped right back up. Many others, as well haha
