My car has begun to make a girgling sound when started in the morning or after it has sat for a few hours. Its worse when its cold out. This is a 95 Maxima (Auto) with 140k miles on it. Anyone know what the sound is? Also, not sure if its related but the car does not always start the 1st time when it is cold, neither problem existed last winter.

 

Girgling sound? Where is it coming from? If your hearing it under the dash, then it's probably your coolant circulating in your heater core along with some air. Check your coolant level, your probably low. Might take a day or so for the air to purge out of the system after you fill it up.

 

yes, that is the area. I'll check it out, maybe there is a leak because I just filled it a short time ago. Thanks!
