20th anniversary 17" wheels - color code?

I'll be repainting my 17" wheels (2000 SE) the same color as the 20th anniversary wheels.

I was wondering if any of you guys know the color code for those wheels?

Let me know,
Cheers

Looks to me like a matte chrome process or something... but still pretty sure it's some sort of very fine metal flake silver or just metallic grey....

i don't think the finish on the wheels can be simply duplicated by a paint code, if one even exists for it.

they probably have a baked on factory finish that you can't duplicate perfectly with average DIY methods, with that said there are some two layer painting techniques that you could get a close match with a base of chrome and overlayed with a smoked "metal cast" by duplicolor.

another technique would be finding a chrome finish that matches as close as you can get, and as long as you paint all 4 wheels no one but you will notice they are any different than the factory finish except possibly you.

and last and maybe the best match possible, have a professional wheel restoration place look at what you want to do but thats allways more $$ than DIY.

I'm also pretty sure you cannot DIY to replicate the finish on the AE/TE wheels. I've seen the same finish done by aftermarket powdercoating techniques mentioned by Prophecy99 though (or very close...). I've seen it by the powdercoat names of Hypergray or Charcoal...but even then the finish is still slightly different.

I believe that's called 'Hyper-Silver'.
