I just read the install instructions on the Nissan Tech Info site and it states that they are only applicable to US market models with a build date of June 2012 or later. I checked my Jan 2012 built vehicle, and the pre-wiring mentioned in the instructions doesn't exist in my vehicle.

There were ones that were discontinued/never fully released, but now they have a new set that only fits 6/2012 or later build dates.

They would physically fit, all that would need to be done is run a few wires and splice them in as the pre-wiring is just missing from models produced before 6/2012. So they are just basically not plug 'n' play using the connectors on the illuminated kick plates.

Yeah definitely an easy task. Anyone know which wires trigger the door puddle lights? Another option might be tapping into the individual door switches. I use to have an IS250, and that's what was done on ones that didn't have the kick plate pre-wiring.

nah you have to special order disco kick plates from Japan and unless you have a subwoofer the stock bass is too weak to make them light up

If it is, I don't know where. nissan-techinfo.com doesn't have it anymore, just the new one for 6/2012 or later builds.

Anyone know if these kick panels are available again yet? I drove a 2012 model that had them and thought it was kind of cool but the car did not have everything I wanted
