The car has 38k miles on it, is certified, black, looks great. Dealer is asking 23k for it. I haven't even started the negotiation process. What would you think is a great, but realistic deal on this car? Any warning in terms of what I should or shouldn't look for or if buying an '09 is even a good idea? Thanks in advance!

 

Test drive a few to get an idea. Pound the 7th gen forums for common problems and try arranging a independant mechanic to come look at the vehicle pre-purchase.

In case you're wondering, I ended up getting a fully loaded 2010 dark slate sv premium with tech, nav certified used with 24k miles on it for 25k before ttl. Love the car so far! Just need to find some 19s I like and get eibach springs installed and I should be set! This forum helped immensely in pricing out the car and general advice.

 

Go for it, try to get it to 20k and roll to a Maxima Meet in So Cal....
