There's a good deal on Koyo radiators in the group buy/sponsors section, and some members have gotten the Mishimoto rads too, and liked them.

The Koyo radiators in the group buy are not all aluminum, they have the plastic tanks like the stock radiator. I think Koyo has all aluminum but they are not the group buy deal.

The Koyo's I believe are copper core, not aluminum, and copper doesn't dissipate heat as efficiently as aluminum.

The mishimoto has 2 cores, but you need to buy the one for the 95-99 maxima, as they don;t make one for the newer maximas. It still fits though so don;t worry

I have the Mishimoto one and have been happy with it. I am sure it will be more than enough for your cooling needs and the cool thing is they offer a lifetime warranty even if it was an accident...

Plus it looks cool. There are good reputable dealers around here in this forum but I got mine off eBay for a good price.

Since the radiator is about 28 inches wide, I wouldn't get the 16s. The stock fans are 12 inches and give you a combined coverage of about 225 square inches. A pair of 14 inch fans cover approximately 305 square inches.

The factory fans are dual speed and the fans you are looking at don't mention dual speed, so they are most likely single speed. You want to wire the fan into the low speed circuit and hope that the fan's higher air flow will be sufficient to overcome the lack of a high speed. But I what I am not sure of is what happens when the ECU turns on the fan high speed - does it turn off the low speed circuit? If it does...

Personally, I wouldn't bother with doing what you propose. We have 105 - 110 degree days regularly and sitting in rush hour traffic with the a/c on is not not a problem for the Nissan design.

the best way would be to go with Mishimoto and Flexalite slim fans
I saw few members doing that on turboed Maximas
There is a guy in NJ that sells Mishimotos locally, as for the fans - you should get the dimensions of the rad and pick up the fans online
