How many AMPS are the OEM Alternators on the maxima?

Mine is dying...putting out only 12.5 V instead of atleast 13.5-14.7 and I'm going to replace it...

Not sure whether to replace it with a 100amp one, or a 110 amp one.

The price difference between the two is almost 50$

100 amp would be fine if you don't have any crazy audio equipment.

The Maxima came with a 110 amp alternator. 1997 Maxima was the last year 100 amp alternators were offered but even so, most 1997s have a 110 amp unit. Other NIssan models may use the 100 amp alternator, but the wire connector may be different.

Just bumping this thread after finding it on a search.

Do all 5th gens (i.e. 3.0L and 3.5L engines) use the same stock alternator? The 5th and 5.5 models look identical, i.e. same mounting points, 2-pin harness, but hoping to confirm with the experts here.

Thx!

They all use the same Hitichi alternator up to about 2010, when Nissan changed to the Mitsubishi alternator, which looks a lot different.
