Short throw shifter

*yes* I have search and only come up with old posts

Whats the currently recommended STS for the A32? TWM is a bit pricey but may end up going that route if theres nothing else out there (not risking ebay clones)

TWM still good?

Do any other Nissan models STS's fit the Max? GTiR?

I have an OBX-R short throw. It's a good shifter but I had to modify it. It sat to close to the dash before modification.

I went the cheap route and bought the Ralco RZ sts. It was like $60 so I figured even if it didnt work out it wasnt a huge loss. I installed it this past November and it's still going strong. Once it's broken in it feels amazing. Getting the bolt that goes thru the fork to be tight enough to stay on but not so tight that the shifts were terrible was a bit of trial and error but now that its sorted I couldn't be happier. One thing to keep in mind is that the ball at the bottom of the shifter was just slightly too big to fit thru the hole in the floor of the car. 30 sec with the dremel and it was all set tho.

i got a ebay one, and to tell you the truth, the only flaw is how close it is to the dash, but the ball was fairly easy to push thru the fork and other than that i love it, im considering cutting threads off for it to sit a little lower on the shifter. but id reccomend courtesy nissan's sts, baller quality for a cheap, but not ebay cheap price.

Twm is a lil pricey but its one of the best close to b&m. I've had the same one in three different maximas. When i sold them i swapped it out. The throw is short, the height is a tad shorter than stock and the feel is amazing. Not notchy at all. Brand new it comes with every thing needed for install. But one thing i recremmend you do weather you go with twm or another brand, is go to the dealer and order a brand new spring that connects the support rod to the control rod. This makes your shifter tight, but still smoothe. Also i thought i had installed my shifter wrong the first time, but just so you know any sts for the A32 sits about an inch foward. So when its in neutral it looks like third gear and when in fourth it looks like its in neatural, but ive never had any problems thus far.

I've got TWM in mine, and I love it. I'd say its worth the price on it, the throws are nice and short, height is reduced and it feels sturdy.
