should be for a 5spd 91 se? mine is around 550-600 right now, and it doesn't feel right at all. its always going too low and it'll go higher to adjust itself. have any suggestions?

 

I know that for an automatic VG it is supposed to be between 700 and 800, I'm pretty sure it's the same for a 5 speed.

 

Sometimes the idle speeds for manual and automatic cars are different, especially if you're looking at idle "in gear" or "neutral" for automatics.

Try looking it up in a service manual (try the library or buy one), or look under the hood somewhere. I can't remember what my labels say, but on lots of cars most of the tune-up specs including idle speed are there. 500-600 sounds a bit low. I think my VE idles at 700-ish.
