1998 Maxima Check Engine Light After Starter Replacement

I recently replaced the starter in my 98 Maxima GXE. The service engine soon light came on after the swap. The starter is brand new. I also swapped out the fuel pump at the same time.

The service codes for the light are P1335, P0325, and P0120.

The car is running great and I haven't noticed any problems. I doubt all of these sensors could have gone bad but I can't get the light to turn off.

First of all, next time you post codes, post what they are for so people trying to help you do not have to go do the searching for you to know what the codes mean. Anyway...

P0325 Knock Sensor http://boredmder.com/ecucodes/index....1998&DTC=p0325

P1335 Crankshaft Sensor (REF) http://boredmder.com/ecucodes/index....1998&DTC=p1335

P0120 Throttle Position Sensor http://boredmder.com/ecucodes/index....1998&DTC=P0120

Did anything for the TPS or Crank sensor accidentally get unplugged when you changed the starter? Double check to make sure everything is plugged in. The Knock Sensor is most likely caused by the other codes so dont worry about it until you get the other 2 figured out. Did you try to reset the ECU using this method to see if that clears the light?

RESETTING THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT

To reset the engine light is a simple procedure. 1. Turn the selector screw clockwise to its stop.
2. Wait 2 seconds.
3. Return back by turning the screw counterclockwise to its stop.
4. IMMEDIATELY REPEAT steps 1 to 3.

The next time you start your engine, the check engine light should go away!
