Carbon Fiber Radiator Shrouds

if i put this in the wrong section please forgive me and delete it.

as of right now i know that for our maximas we dont have a rad shroud. been looking at building one for quite some time now, but with everything i share on here others seem to want one for themselves. so i thought i might as well let you fellow members input how these should be made and designed if there is a following.

if you have any suggestions please let me know and as a group we can make this possible. im not opposed to making this for any generation, i have a access to all gens so thats not a problem.

anyway this is what i have mocked up for right now, going to be making a mold soon, already ordered the cf.

So this will be for '95-'96s only? I'd be in if I didn't already have one.

I only cute the pieces out around the rad support to see how it looked. That would be one mounting point and I'm trying to figure out a mounting point by the lights. 95-96 yes, going to find a 97-99 and see how much difference there is. Might mock up a one piece design to cover the lights as well.

Thanks man, appreciate it. Yeah I was stupid and cut my grill mounting points when I had my cefiro headlights so I'm waiting for another grill to come in so I can see where everything properly goes.

Yeah they are really nice pieces to have I knew a guy that was making them too.. but he was just asking to much money for something that doesn't cost that much to make ... that's why projects like this don't tend to fly... for long any ways .... hope this one takes off

I'm making this for myself and if others want one then so be it. I understand people don't like spending lots of money for aftermarket items. Yes it's just a piece of cf molded to a shape. Simple, but knowledge is money. If it was that easy to make why doesnt everyone have one? This is just for those who want something that isn't out there. I'm not in it to start a business, I offer cf parts that are custom and fit the buyers style.

Did you ever finish one for you 4th? Pictures? I would want one but not to extend all the way to the fenders. A mounting point that would be really slick would be to use the plastic pegs at the top of the grille on either side. COuld do a small 90 degree bend and a simple square hole in the middle and it would hold in place with no bolt holes to boot

its just a sight shield. it keeps leaves and stuff from getting down in between your grill and condensor, but its mostly just for looks. so you cant see all the hardware and rad brackets. hides it all making it look more flush.

OP if you want to seriously make this and sell then PM me otherwise you're not going to be selling this on here w/o authorization.
