They are pretty universal. I would assume so. I bought universal ones for my 4th gen

I replaced the struts on my 97 and 2000 and found out that they are physically different sizes. IIRC, the 2000 struts were the larger ones, but I could have it backwards. The size difference was both length and thickness. The length part could keep you from closing the hood.

I have a pair of 5th gen hood struts that a 4th genner was interested in.

I'm working in a parts store at the moment and comparing them. It looks like the 5th gen struts are slightly longer (1/8" or so) overall, but the cylinder part of it is shorter, so it won't restrict the hood from closing. The only other difference I see is the clip on the cylinder side has a slight angle to it. I doubt it would cause a problem but I will try it on my lunch break and report back.

FYI, I'm also looking for struts that are about 1-2" longer overall but have a shorter or same size cylinder so the hood can raise a little higher. I'll post my results for that as well.

5th gen hood struts worked for me. At least Strong Arm ones did, but I'd assume they're all close enough.

Didn't find a longer one yet. It's gotta have the angled clip on the strut mount joint. I found one that was straight, but it wouldn't fit properly.
