So i'm very confused as to what this means:

My ABS light has a tendency to turn on and off on it's own. Today, it was off. When I was coming up to a bend to enter the highway, I hit the brakes to slow up a little bit...it was at this point that i noticed a slight shudder in the pedal, and then the light came back on. It's been this way for almost 40k miles (basically since i've owned the car).

ANYBODY have any ideas what is going on?

 

Check both of your ABS lines. I had the same issue and I had one of my lines almost completely severed. I re-spliced it back together and it worked for another 10k miles before coming loose. I just ended up taking out the ABS fuse.

The "shudder" feeling you get in the brake pedal is ABS enabling. If a line is damaged, it will do that. E
