Please Help. I want to buy this car today. Price and Airbag deployment???

i JUST LEFT the dealership and i have been wanting to buy a 2010 Maxima. It has leather seats, spoiler, bose package ,sun roof . im pretty sure its the sports package. The problem is i went to buy it, looked at the carfax and its a clean title but was in a accident with a airbag deployment. Do you think its still a good price to buy it. The guy has been calling me at least 5 times since i left. i ran my credit , had almost everything signed and backed to make sure i was making the best buy.

Its 2010 with 25000 Miles, Sports package and he wants to sell it to me for 19,300. Should i buy it or not?

Surprised the car wasn't totaled with an airbag deployment. That happens most of the time with cars nowadays.

I'd pass on it. If you want to finance a used car for that much, make sure it has a certified pre-owned warranty from the factory. No sense in making monthly payments on something with no warranty, or if it was in an accident.

Probably not what you want to hear, but I agree with passing on the purchase. The car may be fine now, but you'll hate your decision if a little bit down the road something is wrong. Take your time (who knows, maybe you did already) and be patient with your decision. It's worth paying a little more for a solid car in the long run.

Im gonna go with everyone else and say pass, its one thing to owe the car and be in a minor accident but to knowingly buy one.

A minor front end collision with an airbag deployment is not the worst thing, the body shops in the northeast are full of minor front end repairs with airbag replacements after the first freeze of the season, its not that hard to tap the guy infront of you

See what kind of extended warranty they will give you, the dealer is your best friend when they want to sell you a car, after the deal is done they don't want to know your name if you have a problem

Damaged 2011

I rather be safe than sorry and spend a bit more money for piece of mind. A bent chasis or damaged suspension parts are not a good way to start car ownership.

+10 i'd pass. too much potential for hidden frame damage/odd issues that are resulting from an accident that was serious enough to deploy the air bag.
