Windows go up s l o w when wet

I've noticed every time it rains out or snows, the front windows take forever to go up. Sometimes the passenger side window gets stuck and wont go up any more unless i pull it up by hand. I'm pretty sure it because of the window seals. There maybe still some glue in there from when my regulator broke and taped the window up. Anyone have any ideas on how to lube up the window seals. What can I use? do I need to replace them? thanks

Silicone lube. Clean the channel with a rag and cleaner then spray silicone into run channel. Nissan has a updated run channel pn 80831-96E30 and 80830-96E30 'bout $60. side. will keep you from bustin regulators...if lubes not enough.

My driver's side gets stuck. Really stinks at tolls on the highway when it is raining/snowing. I though the window was off track..guess this is common. thanks for bringing this to my attention.. I'll try the Lube.

Make sure that the window is not cocking at an angle when you power it up. A window that wedges itself in the track will definitely slow down. Adjust the regulator for a centered lift.

I have noticed that the window does try to go up at an angle. How do I adjust the regulator so it will go up straight?

Also, my friend told me to try White Lithium Grease. Its available as a paste for about $3 and as a spray for about $5. I dont know how well it will work but I will try it out and let you all know. Thanks

Stay away from the white lith. Very messy. Silicone spray is clear and wont be so messy. Also white lith will attract dirt.

You must remove the door panel and do some adjusting to the alignment of the glass guide mechanism. Be sure that you have your "wits around you" when you tackle that job!

Just bought STP silicon spray and sprayed the channels around the windows but it doesn't seem to help. The window might have gone up a little smoother but it's hardly noticeable. I think it's all in my head. Oh well, at least I tried.
